Important Dates to Remember
A NOTE FROM Mrs. Udall:
Dear Heritage Families,
Thank you for your support! In spite of Covid, we’ve had a wonderful week of learning.
Through your efforts, we have also seen dramatic improvements in several areas.
- Sick scholars are staying home. We appreciate you completing the health screening each day and calling in when your scholars are absent. We continue to have active Covid cases on campus in both scholars and teachers. Continue to watch for fever, headaches, loss of taste/smell, etc.
- Scholars are arriving at school on time. We have seen a substantial drop in tardies. Thank you! Keep up the great effort.
The course selection process will begin next week. Please check your emails on Monday for more detailed information. Scholars will receive information each day during Citizenship classes about choosing their classes for next year. Teachers will need to sign off for some of our classes. Any course with an asterisk will require a teacher signature. Please talk with your scholars about their classes and sign their forms.
We have run the lottery for next year and seats have been offered. We anticipate a continuation of increased enrollment with many new families eager for their scholars to benefit from the quality academic environment of Heritage Academy.
- EXISTING scholars will be reserved a spot for next year and you need not submit an application. In the spring you will receive a link to update demographic information as well as indicate an intent to continue at Heritage.
- NEW scholars– if you have friends or family members that do not currently attend Heritage but would like to join us next year . . . they will need to complete the full enrollment application online.
I enjoy meeting parents and loved seeing so many of you at our PTO meeting this week (and our lunch volunteers). A quick summary of the PTO meeting:
- We reviewed Covid guidelines and procedures. Please reference our website for the details.
- We discussed the purpose of log entries. Log entries are a communication piece between the school and the family when we are concerned about scholar behavior. One misconception parents have is that log entries may impact scholars’ college plans. Log entries don’t follow scholars to college. I appreciate those of you who respond and email me after log letters are sent. Don’t ever hesitate to reach out. PTO Elections – our PTO President and some members of the board are terming out at the end of this school year. We appreciate those who have served. Would you consider becoming involved and serving our PTO?
