A NOTE FROM Mrs. Udall:

I am extremely pleased to introduce you to our new 7th grade English teacher, Stacy Harmsen.  Stacy holds a master’s degree in English from Arizona State University and a bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University.  Her professional background includes over 15 years of experience in various roles in education. Stacy has taught Middle School through College English and, most recently, collaborated with Mary Lou Fulton Teaching College at ASU to develop innovative learning modalities.  She has contributed and co-authored over 20 published long-form content lessons in both English and History. I hope you help us welcome her to our Heritage family!

The last week of October is already here and with it, come questions about costumes.

Yes, costumes are allowed ONLY on Thursday and they must follow these rules:

  • No masks
  • No leggings, PJs (onesie costumes are okay)
  • No face paint or extreme makeup (we need to be able to recognize the scholar)
  • No weapons
  • Wigs are allowed (and hair paint)
  • D4D standards = appropriate & modest
  • Hats are allowed that support the costume
  • No inflatables

If a costume is distracting from learning, teachers will ask a scholar to remove it (or a part of it). If a costume is inappropriate, the scholar will be sent to the front desk. Teacher decisions are final.

There are a couple of tours that have sign up deadlines, so be sure to check those out.

Unfortunately one of our uniform vendors, Dennis Uniforms, has unexpectedly closed their doors.  Information was sent out earlier, but if you have any outstanding orders, they will not be filled. Any payment questions need to be addressed with your bank.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

Our vendors can be found HERE.

Don’t miss out on the Yearbook! It’s our 30th edition and will feature all of our scholars and their activities.

Hope to see you at the sporting events!

Heidi Udall, Principal

OUR GATEWAY CAMPUS INVITES YOU TO A SPOOKTACULAR EVENT!

K-8 Side 5:30-8:30 PM: K-5 carnival games; JH carnival games; Bounce houses; Movie; Pizza ($), drinks ($), popcorn ($), cotton candy ($); Scholastic Book Fair ($); Hay Ride between the two campuses!

There will be lots of children, so please be extra cautious!

We also can’t do this without volunteers! Please see the following Sign Up Geniuses to lend a helping hand if you are able:
Volunteer to help with games, set up, and take down on the K-8 side (teenagers welcome!)
Volunteer to help with the concessions in the JH Gym
Sign up to be part of the Trunk or Treat on the HS side!
Volunteer to help in our Scholastic Book Fair throughout the week and Friday night!
