A NOTE FROM Mrs. Udall:
We are very excited for one of our seniors. Alejandro Zayas Abril has been selected as a finalist for the Flinn Scholarship! Reaching the final round of this process is exceedingly difficult: Over 200 high schools from across Arizona delivered more than 1,100 candidates for the Flinn Scholarship this year. Now, representatives of just 35 schools remain. I hope you join us in wishing him luck in the final interview.
We have good news about the upcoming state testing schedule! This year all testing will occur during the school day. This means you will not need to accommodate different drop off or pick up times. Just drop off and pick up your scholars at the usual time!
Course selections are PAST DUE. If you have not yet dropped off your completed form at the front desk, do so as soon as possible. PowerSchool is now closed and you will not be able to enter your course selections.
Unpaid Course fees: Monday scholars will be dropped from the class and placed in a non-fee bearing class.
PTO is looking for volunteers to help run the lunch program. Without volunteers, the lunch program will need to be discontinued. Reach out to Amy Nyman, PTO President, for more information. heritageacademy.pto@gmail.com
It’s not all work and no play for our teachers! We had a scavenger hunt at the last staff meeting and it was such fun being able to go to classrooms we don’t usually get to see.
Here is the math department in the ballroom and our new FACS kitchen!
Enjoy your weekend!

Heritage Academy offers an exceptional campus on EVIT grounds called Paul Revere Academy. We have established an incredible partnership to allow scholars to enroll in EVIT programs the academic year they turn 16. For most, this means they can begin Career Technical Education (CTE) programs as sophomores (10th grade), and earn more than one technical certificate by graduation! Additionally, EVIT now offers pathways leading to Associate Degrees, providing even greater opportunities for your scholar!
Our location and flexible scheduling create a seamless educational experience where scholars can:
-
Complete core academic classes (ELA, Math, Science, History, and credit recovery)
-
Pursue specialized CTE courses at EVIT
This unique combination offers:
-
Small class sizes for personalized attention.
-
55-minute focused learning sessions.
-
Sports and extracurricular opportunities.
-
Dual enrollment options for earning college credit at Paul Revere Academy and EVIT.
-
Workforce-ready skills upon graduation.
Scholars still benefit from a Monday–Thursday schedule, with EVIT classes adding a half-day on Fridays.
