Principal’s Message
Welcome back! We’ve had a wonderful first week. Thank you to our teachers, scholars, and families for creating a wonderfully positive environment. I enjoyed seeing so many of you at Open House.
A friendly reminder, please use the driveline to pick up your scholar. No parking, dropping off or picking up on Drew Street. We want to keep our scholars safe. Thank you for supporting the Heritage Policies. We strive for excellence in all we do.

Happening at Heritage
Attention 504 and IEP Families!
Beginning this school year and moving forward, all 504 and IEP meetings will be held during the school day rather than before or after school, as they have been in the past.
During the first week of school, you’ll receive additional information from your child’s coordinator:

Junior High IEP Case Manager: Amy Nyman
High School IEP Case Manager: Heather McKendrick
Our team will continue to reach out well in advance to schedule meetings at a mutually convenient time. We will offer the options of participating through phone call, virtual platform (Google Meets) or in person to make it as convenient as possible.

Junior High Hub
Announcements:
1- Make sure your scholar has entered into their Google Classroom for each of their core subjects. If they are having a problem, please have them email their teacher.
2- Make sure and check your scholar’s agenda for assignments.
3- 8th Grade Latin scholars will need to bring 20 index cards to class on Monday/Tuesday (8/10-8/11)

The Heritage Academy Fine Arts Department is heading to New York City—one of the world’s most iconic artistic destinations! ✨
Scholars from choir, orchestra, band, dance, ballroom, drama, and piano will embark on an unforgettable journey filled with inspiring performances, world-class venues, and rich cultural experiences. From the bright lights of the stage to the heart of the city’s creative scene, this tour will cultivate excellence, spark creativity, and deepen each student’s passion for the arts. 🎼🗽

Important Next Steps
After applying, log in using your MEID@maricopa.edu to:
- Upload your birth certificate and photo ID
- Complete the Financial Responsibility Form
- Submit the Petition for Semester Overload (if enrolling in more than 18 Dual Enrollment credits in one semester)

- If you have been approved for Tuition Assistance, I have already contacted Rio to enroll you.
- If you indicated interest in Dual Enrollment, I will be emailing Rio soon. Please monitor your email for any required tasks or follow-up steps.
