Principal’s Message
Thank you for all your help!
This week we spent a lot of time fielding questions about course selections. Ms. Seaman will be meeting with every scholar in their history class over the next 3 weeks to answer questions and check schedules.
Please complete your re-enrollment at heritageacademy.schoolmint.net by tomorrow, 1/16/26, to secure your seat for the upcoming school year. Note: This is separate from course selections.
Reminder – if you have fees, they are due today. Any remaining unpaid fees on 1/26/26 will result in a schedule change for your scholar.
Don’t miss the inspiring story from Ms. Luz Hoxsie’s Citizenship class, “The Tale of Two Hats.” Read more below in the Scholar Service Spotlight.
Remember – we don’t have school next Monday or Tuesday in honor of Civil Rights Day. School resumes next Wednesday, January 21, 2026.

Scholar Service Spotlight
One of our scholars recently led a special service project with the help of her dad and several classmates from Mrs. Hoxsie’s class. Together, they created handmade hats that were donated to individuals experiencing homelessness in downtown Phoenix.
With the support of her father, who works with the Homeless ID Project at the Human Services Campus, the hats were personally distributed to people in need. The response was incredibly touching—many recipients expressed heartfelt gratitude and asked that their thanks be shared with our scholars. One recipient was even moved to tears by the kindness shown.
This meaningful project is a wonderful example of compassion, teamwork, and how our scholars’ efforts can make a real difference in the community. We are so proud of the students involved and grateful to Mrs. LuzHoxsie’s class for helping spread warmth and kindness beyond our campus.

Happening at Heritage
High school scholars from our Arts Department recently participated in our 13th Annual Fine Arts Retreat in Prescott. Over two inspiring days, scholars engaged in 10 hours of intensive workshops, sharpening their skills and growing in their artistic craft.
These talented scholars collaborated with students from three other Heritage campuses, working together with dedication and creativity to produce something truly beautiful. Their hard work culminated in a wonderful performance on Saturday morning.
🎥 You can watch their performance on the Heritage Academy Events YouTube Channel.
