Heritage Academy’s mission statement:

We are dedicated to youth, their growth and development, and believe in building sound character through strong families, strong communities, and a strong nation.

While teaching the academic disciplines, Heritage Academy is dedicated to instilling into the minds and hearts of our youth knowledge of and respect for the ideals and values of the great men and women of history, including those who founded the American nation.

As they gain an appreciation of these people of accomplishment, they will be ready to provide the selfless service to their fellow citizens and to their country which will be required in the coming years to assist in restoring America’s greatness.

Heritage Academy exists to this end.

A NOTE FROM Mrs. Udall:

Hello Parents, next week, April 4 – 7, we will have testing in the mornings and all classes will begin at 12:15.  While no one likes to take tests, they actually benefit your scholar in several ways.  They help give an idea of how ready your scholar is for college, allowing time to strengthen their skills. They are a good way for your scholar to practice test taking skills that will help them succeed in a college environment.  ACT scores can aid in qualifying for scholarships. In addition, as we are publicly funded, test scores are important to the school.  So please encourage your scholar to be on time and to do their best.
Check the schedule carefully for when your scholar needs to test. All 11th graders will need to be on campus at 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5 for a 7:30 ACT start time. On Thursday, April 7, there is a late start with no lunch on campus. Classes begin that day at 12:15 p.m.
Please be aware that PTO lunch will not be available at all next week.
Thank you!
Heidi Udall,
Heritage Mesa Principal

THIS MONTHS PILLER: KNOWLEDGE

It’s been a great month to discuss more about KNOWLEDGE – and the power of information during citizenship! Each member of our citizenship class taught something to us, every day this month.  This week Taylor Carlson (pictured left) taught us how to speed paint with glitter. It was literally amazing.  Felt like a magic show.  Can you believe how great A. Lincoln turned out??? Mrs. Alston
