Heritage Academy is pleased to announce the promotion of Ms. Eve Seaman to the position of Assistant Principal of our Mesa Campus, beginning June of 2018. She replaces Wade Melchin who has served in this role for many years. We are grateful for the many years of dedicated service Mr. Melchin has offered to our scholars.

Ms. Seaman currently works at the Mesa campus with our Special Education scholars and has a great love for the Heritage Academy scholars and parents. In her new role, she will provide leadership to our faculty as well as guidance to all the Heritage scholars and their families. Ms. Seaman will report to Dr. Travis Moore, Principal of Heritage Academy in Mesa.

Ms. Seaman has been a teacher for eleven years. Prior to joining Heritage Academy, she taught at Carson Junior High School in the Mesa Public School District. There she served as the Special Education Teacher, Principal for the Summer School Program, Teacher and Student Advancement Program Mentor Teacher and Interim Assistant Principal. She has also taught at Freemont and Poston Jr. High School in Mesa, where her responsibilities mirrored those at Carson. In 2006, she taught pre-algebra for Heritage Academy.

“Heritage has proven to be one of the best places I’ve worked,” said Ms. Seaman. “The students, faculty and parents are wonderful and sincerely care about each and every individual student’s education and overall wellbeing.  It is a great privilege to be a teacher at Heritage Academy. I look forward to many more years as a Heritage Hero.”

Ms. Seaman graduated magna cum laude in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Education, Special Education from ASU. In 2012, she graduated with distinction with and a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from NAU. She holds a principal certificate and a K-12 Special Education certificate from the State of Arizona. She is also certified in Sign Language and Student and Teacher Advancement/Mentor.
