Dear Hero Families,

I am overwhelmed with the amount of good news I have the opportunity to share with you.

First, our AZ Merit test scores, drastically increased! This is a testament to how hard your scholars and teachers worked this past year.  Why is this so significant?  These scores are what the state uses to measure our success and because of the commitment of our scholars, teachers, and parents we are an rated school! (“A” Letter Grade from the Arizona Dept of Education)

This hard work and dedication can also be seen in other areas.  We recently received a report from the ACT organization that while the state average is going down, Heritage Academy graduating seniors who took the ACT scored at the highest level ever!

What else can go right?  How about the news that our teachers were voted #1 in the state of Arizona by Niche.com.  Our teachers really make a difference in our students’ lives.  Students consistently mention that the reason they love Heritage Academy is the quality of teachers that dedicate their time to them.

I see examples of excellence every day as I walk around our school: teachers helping scholars, teachers helping teachers, scholars helping scholars. I can’t wait to come to Heritage every day and be a part of all that is happening here.

I want to say Thank You to all of the parents for the help and support you give our school.

I want to say Thank You to all of the teachers for their dedication to our scholar’s success.

And I especially want to say Thank You to all the scholars for their continued commitment and effort.

As we move forward, fantastic things are going to continue to happen and we look forward to reaching even higher achievements in the future.

Sincerely,

Dr. Travis Moore, Principal
